Diving in Port McNeill Late June - Early July

Hi everyone, I'll be coming out to Port McNeill late June to early July fishing and diving. Looking to see if anyone is interested in doing some dives out there. I will be taking my own boat up there so we can dive where ever we want weather permitting. Also, I'm looking to find some contacts...

How much gas in case of accidental deco.

I don't understand all those against getting a pony bottle. It does provide redundancy, granted a bit excessive with respect to your buddy. On the other hand, it provides experience with handling extra bottles which might be useful down the line. Might as well get oriented with it while you're...

    Diffusion vs. Perfusion

Yeah I get all the basic physiology and physics of this. I am starting to think I misunderstood the article. I was referring to was bubbles formed within the plasma. I can understand that a bubble formed in tissue would only be able to perfuse back into tissue as fast as the gradient would allow...

    Diffusion vs. Perfusion

Hi there, I am reading an old article from 1989 "Physiological Basis of Decompression" (I know its old, but I like reading everything) and I came past a paragraph that struck me as odd. It states that gas in a bubble must diffuse back into tissue for it to be removed by the bloodstream. It goes...

    Breathing

I find that holding my tongue to the roof of my mouth assists in slowing down my breaths. I typically take long slow breaths. Depending on my buoyancy needs, I adjust my breathing to stay down or rise a little if I am to close to the bottom.
