I have a single AL80 ( yellow ) and a set of double AL80 ( clear coat silver ) with manifold and bands. The yellow tank is in near perfect shape and the silver ones arent bad, the laminate has come off some where the bands are but overall they are pretty good. I'm not sure of the hydros on...
I see some people on Amazon are asking ridiculous amounts of money for the book but it can be purchased new much cheaper any day of the week:buy Technical Diving In Depth at northeastscubasupply.com - Books - Technical Diving - Technical Diving In Depth - Northeast Scuba Supply
definitely put it over....I have the Henderson Thermoprene 8/7 semi...the seals are pretty good...you don't want to allow for larger water pools inside the suit and chances of greater flow...just put more neoprene on the outside and itll keep you warmer without compromising the design of the suit...
I have this manifold and would love to get a hold of the bands....or maybe come up with a different banding system. It's great to see some quality photos of this system complete.
I've been curious about this as well. I've also wondered why there doesn't seem to be any glass analog depth guages. The plastic gets scratched so easily and becomes harder to read. Also on a related note, I don't see bungee mounts for the analog depth guages...am I missing something? I have...
I think they tell you to backup the logs as a safety factor. I've changed the batteries a number of times and never lost my logs (it may require a quick change out...I'm not certain).
You have to buy a very expensive over-priced cable to connect it to the computer.

I dove there at the end of July when the water temps were as described by mjh. Some people on the trip wore 5mm suits. I would not have been at all comfortable in that. I get cold easy and am not happy when I am cold. I wore an 8/7mm semi-dry (wetsuit). I was perfect on most dives. I was a...
My Dive Rite basic harness is a medium stiffness and my crotch strap is very stiff. I'm not sure of their reasoning. It also matters whether you get their 2" one piece crotch strap or their 1" strap. Their 1" strap is much softer (but doesn't have that pad on it.
I have 2 Zealge N2ition3's that I bought a year and a half ago. I bought them both new from the same shop. Since day 1 both of them reach a low battery very quickly (like 4 months of no use or anywhere from 5-15 dives). I'm changing the batteries constantly and the computers are dying...
I have owned both. I'm afraid I dont really have good comparison photos to show you. I can tell you that I was not really impressed with the DC1200. It was ok...not bad...but certainly nothing to write home about. The mini II is also not amazing, however it is less expensive. I definitely...
I went in the first week of July last year and I was wearing a 7mm semi-dry. Most of the people I was diving with were wearing 7mm suits. The water temperature ranged from 60F to 70F for us the week we were there (varying between the islands). I personally think the 7mm was necessary to have...
its a modular system so you can get whatever you want with it...the base deluxe comes with a break-away harness and "articulated shoulder assembly" (an inline d-ring) as opposed to a single piece of webbing and also a chest strap. The other optional accessories are shoulder pads and a back pad...
I have the 30# Mach V. The soft sta things dont come off. You can still use an STA. I do. The only thing though, is that you can't use an STA tha is rectangular, it needs to be one of the ones that is angular.
I just got out of the movie right now. Josh is not the one down there with her. Josh's father is down there with her and is the one that survives the event. Josh blames his father for killing her when his father surfaces after the deco. The woman is definitely not Josh's mother. They say in...
