No doubt! I would love to be able to check out the new posts with out having to wade through all the "what make-up to wear while diving" and "single diver looking..." posts. LET US OPT OUT!
Did my first cooper river dive on Sunday and I am now addicted!
Went out with Capt Topper and had a great time. He has got to have the biggest pontoon on that river, it is huge! He only allows 6 divers so you have plenty of room.
He advertises two tank dive for $65 dollars but I found...
Seajay, Robyn and company, we should plan a trip up to Wilmington for some diving. Dove the Hyde and the Markham last weekend and it was incredible! Saturday; 5 to 6 foot seas with 10ft vis. (got to ride the ladder, yippee) Sunday; 4 to 6 inch seas (no kidding) 75ft vis. What a difference a...
A good book to read on solo diving is "solo diving" by Robert Von Maier. I think it is a required read for the SDI course. He makes a lot of good points. Instead of calling it solo diving he calls it self-sufficient diving. Hey states that if you are not a self-sufficient diver than you are...
I noticed that they are missing the ultimate geek rating, the ubergeek! Kind of like if you played the Marvel universe role playing game and you had a character with an ability of "unlimited".
Did I just write that.... guess I will not be meeting any women on this forum:)
Funny stuff Net Doc. I rated a disappointing 38%. I think you should receive 10% bonus points for being geeky enough to take the whole thing. Maybe I need to go back and lie more...
It took me about 5 dives to start feeling comfortable in a back plate and now about 40 dive later it disappears when I am in the water. Don't know if you are looking for any advice but I would stay away from trim weight and try to just let you body adjust your trim. Once you learn to do this...
Hey Seajay, I think GUE is going to have to start paying you and Robyn for promoting DIR-f. Nice post :)
It almost made me want to give up solo diving and move away from the darkside ;)
Mark
Great post Robyn! Congrates to you and Seajay. Since you all stopped posting I havent been paying to much attention to this board. Glad I dropped in and caught the post. Let me know the next time you all have a dive weekend planned so I can come visit.
See you around,
Mark
SeaJay is a very charismatic person. Sadly, charismatic personalities tend to rub some people the wrong way.
You and he have done so much to bring people from this board together to do what this board is about, diving.
Like him or hate him, he is one of the most visible people around...
Robyn,
You're to pretty to be SeaJay's sock puppet.
What the hell have I been missing around here...
A guy goes into winter hibernation for a while and comes out and finds anarchy.
So, is Seajay still banned? Can someone point me to a link so I can get caught up.
Man, I'm so...
Sorry Nature, nothing personal. I was more referencing my own lack of understanding what professional meant at that age than trying to make a blanket statement.
You've demonstrated your maturity on this board.
I'm dying to to get wet again too. I would like a trip to Florida, the sooner the better. As always, count me in for any dive and this time I'll stick around for the food :)
Don't sweat it Raven. I am sure the Prof. will take it for it's own merits.
As far as your "peers" discrediting you; how many of these "peers" are twenty year old kids that have no concept of what professionalism is?
Hell, print out the thread about setting up this NDI, give it to them...
