Question about drysuit inflator valve rinsing

I wouldn't worry about it. It was designed to be underwater. There are no parts in it that corrode. If it gets sticky, just take it apart, clean, lube the O-rings and put it back together. With the Sitec ones it takes about 3 minutes and all you need is a 3mm allen wrench (IIRC) . Just my 2 bar...

Regulator service - Do you get what you pay for?

Back then when I started servicing my own regulators ( '96) we had no internet access, nor YouTube. I just applied common sense. Regs were designed/made by humans and not aliens from another planet. It is not rocket science. I service all my cave diving buddies' regs along with my 19 first...

    Any opinions on Poseidon?

Yes I can confirm the early Poseidon gauges are 1/8G thread. Any descent machinist could make a 1/8G to 7/16-20 UNF adapter or Omniswivel may have it. 3/8-24UNF is for LP hoses. VR Roland

Consideration for first set of doubles regs?

I have never seen or heard a DIN fitting cross thread. It has a very large G5/8 thread, so I don't think it is even possible to do more than 1/4 of a turn. As far as regulators go, I personally have 9 sets of Scubapro MK20 (DIN of course) with either D400 or G250 seconds. You can find those on...

    MK2

I use SP MK2 on my rebreathers, but it only drives the orifice. It has been modified (made non-compensating). It is a very reliable first stage, but you have to keep in mind that it is non-balanced so IP changes slightly as tank pressure is getting lower and also you can't adjust the IP like on...

    O-two regulator seat material

Good Morning/Afternoon, We have 3 O-two adjustable medical oxygen regulators that we use on our Nitrox blending sticks for flow control. 2 out of the 3 no longer work as the seat material has worn out and it leaks. I wanted to purchase the parts from the mfg, but they wouldn't sell direct and...

Bauer auto-drain solenoid and P31 filter specs needed.

Michael, Thanks for your reply. I know that after 15 years or a certain amount of cycles it needs to be replaced for safety reasons due to fatigue caused by pressurization and depressurization. I just wanted to know how much bigger it is than the P21 and if it would stick out of the frame on...

Bauer auto-drain solenoid and P31 filter specs needed.

thanks for the picture. I can't seem to find the specs of that solenoid, but I will keep looking. It doesn't really matter which series it is from, and my 320 Mariner is also a 4 stage compressor, with 2 separators and a filter tower to drain.

Bauer auto-drain solenoid and P31 filter specs needed.

Good Morning to All, I 'm about to fit an autodrain to my Bauer Mariner, but the only missing part I have is the solenoid valve. Can any of you please let me know the specs and or mfg and model type of the solenoid? Voltage doesn't matter, but I need the orifice size and Kv value to make sure I...

Wanted Scubapro MK20 Ultra Light - Black Tec

I have been wondering why SP stopped making it (along with the MK18UL) and why SP never bothered to make the other ones (MK2, etc) in the UL version? I have three of these and I love them for their weight. IIRC they are more than 3 times lighter than the regular MK20. Perfect for saving weight...

    Wanted Interspiro FFM (black)

As title says, I'm looking for an Interspiro Divator FFM in black. It has to be black due to filming purposes. If you have one even without the second stage (we have two of these masks, but in orange and can use the regs from those) please let me know. Thanks in advance. Very Respectfully Roland

How do you learn your narcosis depths? Gas switches?

It varies day by day, depending on a lot of factors such as hydration level of your body, stress level, restlessness, fatigue, etc. Most of the times, you won't even notice a mild narcosis, you just simply don't remember some parts of the dive (like seeing a big fish, etc) . Just don't know that...
