thanks for the replies... I do have an ENT appointment for monday. pain seems to be getting a little better today, now on prednisone for 24 hours, 3rd antibiotic started today and pain meds around the clock. I'm hoping for no rupture... obviously. and I will definately not dive if my doc...

I suppose I should also mention this is NOT dive related...haven't been in the water since last october :(
