    Some people like the added D-Rings/PolyPoint rings... I'll probably go hog next time though. Comfort wise though, I doubt you can tell the difference.

    I have the DSS pro-fit harness (without a chest strap) and have never been uncomfortable. I don't think you'll be able to tell a difference to be honest.

    Navy Seals/Special Forces are the only navy divers left in existance. Thanks to dry dock... no need for a typical navy diver anymore.

    Typically a commercial diver has some other trade to back him up as well, like engineering or welding or something.

    Well, typically in lakes, you have no currents or anything like that to deal with. So the salt is still it's own beast to be learned and dealt with.

    Practice. also, my gear doesnt need to be washed, no dangerous creatures/plants/whatever else, and the ship wrecks preserved in cold water... priceless.

    i was told in another thread to stay away from any coral becuase it can be protected/endangered/whatever else... now i stick to shutting off other peoples air when they arn't suspecting it. (kidding....)

    By deep diving, I'm guessing you mean diving down to a 100 feet? (130 feet?) on a single tank of air, without going into deco. All of your normal equipment should work fine for it... you don't need a pony, just a buddy. If you have an equipment malfunction doing this type of diving, signal...
