I have the DSS pro-fit harness (without a chest strap) and have never been uncomfortable. I don't think you'll be able to tell a difference to be honest.

Navy Seals/Special Forces are the only navy divers left in existance. Thanks to dry dock... no need for a typical navy diver anymore.

Typically a commercial diver has some other trade to back him up as well, like engineering or welding or something.

Well, typically in lakes, you have no currents or anything like that to deal with. So the salt is still it's own beast to be learned and dealt with.

Practice. also, my gear doesnt need to be washed, no dangerous creatures/plants/whatever else, and the ship wrecks preserved in cold water... priceless.

i was told in another thread to stay away from any coral becuase it can be protected/endangered/whatever else... now i stick to shutting off other peoples air when they arn't suspecting it. (kidding....)

That's why I went on to say how important it was to strictly follow whatever guidelines you set (be it a computer or something else), regardless of how conservative/liberal they might be... it's not good advice to get into the mindset of "hey, my computers conservative so I'm good" whenever it's...

I live far away from the oceans and any decent diving lake/qaury/etc... so that leaves me with lots of time for tv. :(

By deep diving, I'm guessing you mean diving down to a 100 feet? (130 feet?) on a single tank of air, without going into deco. All of your normal equipment should work fine for it... you don't need a pony, just a buddy. If you have an equipment malfunction doing this type of diving, signal...
