Looks like I'm a mix of bimbler, tekkie, gadget geek, and underwater photo kind of diver.

While most divers want to explore everything possible on a single dive, I'd rather hang around and watch one or two critters go about their routine. I love watching cuttle fish when I'm in the ocean. In fresh water playing with bluegill and bass is a blast.

As a new diver I am definitely a bimbler. I don't see why no one else is as facinated by a one square foot area of reef as I am! As I get more dives under my belt I can see I may "graduate" to fish prodder.....

I'm not sure what I'd be, but I've noticed there are a LOT of Scuba GIT's on this board... but very few will admit it.

Nice, I am Adrenalin Diver crossed with Gadget Geek with some Yoyo Diver. Hooah What a mix i am....
Cheers
Chris

Hunter-gatherer and fish prodder if I am in a reserve...probably a bit of nautical nut and adrenalin too.

Bretagus:
I'm guessing most of you have read this before, but I found it entertaining -- from PGdive.com, local shop from where I'm diving (but I'm guessing they stole it from the UK)--

-- I'm somewhere in-between a Bimbler, Eager-eddie and a zero-tolerance diver. While I am quite inexperienced (esp when compared to the community), I certainly hope never to lose my "eager-eddie-ness" of diving... that is, after all, how I got into it in the first place!

Where do you all fall?

I just like to dive. Solo most of the time. All the "types" are very well put. The most annoying, IMHO is the know it all "Instinctive instructor" and "Captain Clipboard" who is a hero to his/her students but a PITA to everyone else.

I've had several very good instructors, Lou Fead, author of "Easy Diver",Bill Costello, NAUI, Rick Milton, NASDS, etc, None of these talented teachers preached. They just loved the ocean and were never critical about others. No clipboards, no attitudes, just a lot of open water diving and relaxed talk post dive.

I'm sure I'm very annoying as well-just ask my patient wife-at least, U/W, I annoy only the tolerant sea creatures.
