Commercial airline pilot?

Why not do both? I have no experience in the diving industry, nor do I want any. I'm doing the commercial pilot-rotorcraft thing now and I ain't 18 either...

Diving is strickly for pleasure. Hoping someday I'll be in a warmer climate near the ocean with a 14on/14off split.:)

Hello
If i can stick out the mill, Green chain is the most boringest job in the world but awesome money. Im making 30 bucks an hour here at my mill, I can pay for Diving Easy. Its just hard with no Technical Divers out here, But i think i may take the course owe lots of money to the goverment. start work and then go find a rebreather and go hide in a cave :D:D:D:D...... (NOT) Im going to look around for careers, Im stuck little bit cause of my education level.

As an aside, (personal bias) -- if you are interested in a career as a commercial diver, go navy! Despite politics (war in iraq, etc), I, as a young American, believe firmly in the US armed services. Maybe I have too many friends/family in the military; regardless, I doubt you will be able to find a more prestigious institution to teach you the skills and discipline required to perform the job.

Navy Seals/Special Forces are the only navy divers left in existance. Thanks to dry dock... no need for a typical navy diver anymore.

That is not correct...

US Army Engineer divers, Sea-Bee divers, Navy fleet divers, salvage divers, EOD divers, Coast Guard divers, Marine RECON divers, Air Force PJ divers, Navy submarine SCUBA divers all are still around and still being trained at NDSTC.

Hey Guys, Need some help. I am young (18) I need some advice. What are the odds of making a career out of Technical diving, Make money to live off? Im stuck, I want to take the Commercial Pilot Degree but thats 50grand all student loaned. That means i would have to give up diving four couple years, But my heart is set at diving. So really I dont know what to do, I have been thinking of this for about a year and still nothing.
Need some real advice
Chris

Watch the AAUS site for potential jobs working with academic diving programs or aquariums. You can try it out without much if any more investment in training and more often than not gain some sort of tuition assistance to continue your education while making your decision.

Garrobo:
Yeah, I think that Canada has a Navy. I understand that it is a fleet of four six-pack boats and a guy with a B-B gun. They're kind of anti-firearms up there you know.
:no

Allright guy's lets get it right, It's a guy in a rowboat with a two-four and a peashooter!:eyebrow:
