    Cressi Lido 2mm Jumpsuit

I'd be interested in opinions regarding the Cressi Lido 2mm Jumpsuit. Looking for something in the 2 mm range for diving in the Caymans next month and came across this one. Price is inviting. Cressi Lido long Thanks

Does anyone know the distance in mm between the two lugs on the Teric where the band attaches? See yellow marking on pic below. Thanks

Need replacement band solution for Atmos 2 wrist computer

The band on my aging Aeris Atmos 2 wrist computer has, not surprisingly, failed given the age and amount of use. Replacement bands for it do not seem to be available. I'm looking for an effective solution. I tried some of the Nato style nylon web watch bands (see example pic below) in 24mm...

Recommendations on prepping glass on new Atomic Venom mask?

Received a new Atomic Venom mask today. Will be diving it in tropical conditions. Anything special for the Atomic Venom that I should do (or not do) to the new mask glass before diving it? Use M Essential's Mask Pre Cleaner? Something less; something more? Thanks

    Dangerous Hurricane Dean

Of course the storm's path is unpredictable at this point but does anyone read Dean as a risk for a trip leaving for Coz this Friday (17th) and returning to US on Monday (20th)? Thanks

N00b diving the flower gardens this weekend - any last minute tips?

All good suggestions and comments being made. With regard to the speargun issue and the suggestion that the boat Kaiser422 was on had the spearguns referred to by the report of Spree/Fling, I read Kaiser422's report a little differently; it sounds like to me it was the other boat at the FG that...

    Kid Friendly Resort

A couple years back before our son was old enough to attend the kids' club at the Occidental Grand, we hired a baby sitter through the resort. She was one of the kids' club employees and did a very good job. A bit pricey though (for Mexico) - $10/hour - but worth it to go diving.

    Atmos 2 Delete logs.

Off hand, I do not recall. I think if you take the battery out for longer than 8 seconds it wipes the memory clean. Curious question: why do you want to clear the dive log memory?

My hose exploded. Has anyone experienced this?

I would strongly encourage you to have it looked at and overhauled by another reputable shop given the history of repeat escalating problems you encountered that seem to have gone undiagnoised and unresolved.

    What and when to tip

I agree with the suggested amounts and timing. When in Mexico, I typically tip $5 per tank and give it at the end of each day. Sometimes I add a little more depending on various factors. When not in Mexico, what do folks usually tip? For instance, I understand tipping $5 per tank in...

What should I expect for annual reg maintenance?

Another question on annual service. When I pick up the reg from the shop after the annual service should they provide all the old parts and a test sheet showing the various test stats such as IP, Flow Rates, Cracking Pressure, etc. (signed by the tech that did the work)? Thanks

    rental car insurance now mandatory?

I see you're from Texas. Traditionally, the Texas Personal Auto policy will cover damage to a rental car (while renting and driving within the US).

What should I expect for annual reg maintenance?

Thanks for the replies. As I said, I really like the shop a lot that did the service (and will - actually have -continue to use them for gear purchases) but it sounds like this should have been caught by the tech and that I may need to find a new shop in the DFW area to do the bi-annual service...

    Underwater Moisturizer Devices

In the event you do not want to go the route of an aftermarket device and recognizing that each person is a little different and some things that work for one diver may not for the next diver, there are few things you might want to try: 1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more (both...

    Opinions on two possible setups

I considered essentially the same setups a few years ago and concluded that both were great solid regs setups. In the end, I went with Atomic and absolutely love the reg. It is extremely well built and well engineered. Lots of nice featues. I'd probably chose it again if faced with the same...

What should I expect for annual reg maintenance?

Interesting. I did watch him. He unscrewed the purge cover plate, pulled the diaphram and a ring attached to it out, flipped the diaphram around, put it back together, vacumm tested and it was fine. Given the initial problem, should I send it in for an overall service check again to...

What should I expect for annual reg maintenance?

I'm trying to figure out if this is a freak of nature incident and whether my expectations are too high when it comes to reg maintenace; should I look for a new LDS to do reg maintenance. I recently had my Atomic B2 regs (two sets) in to a LDS (who is authorized for service by Atomic) for reg...
