Hi @RainPilot or anyone who knows about the Poseidon Mk7 Se7en.

Is the Se7en a hCCR (hybrid) similar time the rEvo III hCCR or is it just eCCR? Can you run the Se7en manually and just use the electronics when needed? Does it have a CMF? It’s not clear from their materials.

Thanks!

running it manually instead of from the electronics doesn't make it a hybrid-ccr. All you are doing is running the rebreather at a ppO2 that is higher than the setpoint on the controller and you can do that with any rebreather with an O2 add button.
For the Se7en, you have to have the Tec lungs since the recreational version does not have an O2 add button.
If you want to make it an actual h-ccr, then you have to have some sort of passive addition via leaky valve *CMF or Needle*, and that can be plumbed somewhere *usually into the exhale T-piece* and constantly adds O2. You then have a button to bump up the ppO2 if you need it, or since it's an hccr, the solenoid can/will also inject as needed.

Of note, the MK3 first stages used on the Se7en can't be plugged to give constant IP which is required for a CMF. If you wanted to run a CMF, you would need to figure out another first stage solution *which will seriously mess up the very tight hose routing to the head*, or have another O2 bottle. You could run a needle valve with the existing first stage though. That all said, I wouldn't bother with trying to make it a hccr. The hassle is not worth it IMO. You don't have to hit the MAV all that often without a leaky valve and you already have the parachute from the solenoid.

What Tom said above.
A needle valve could be added and there are several options but none from the factory. The Poseidon philosophy is to let the unit take care of the loop maintenance and you take care of the dive.
