Hi all I just acquired an inflatable but need a good inexpensive motor around a 8 hp.

John

We used to have a Tohatsu on our old zodiac. The thing ran like a champ and for a couple of extra bucks they took the governor off of it. Once the boat flattened out it would haul butt. Unfortunately the manufacturer's glue that holds the seems together gave up after 5 years and the vessel because recycling material.

John, one word of advice, keep this thing out of the sun when not in use!

Congrats on the new vessel and good luck my brutha!

Good and inexpensive don't necessarily go together too well. You can find a good deal on new Tohatsu here - internetoutboards.com For used you might try craigslist boat section. I sold an outboard there last summer that was barely used but too heavy for my needs at a good discount. You can also try looking around the marinas as people sometimes put up flyers for used ones at the bulletin boards by the docs.

Thanks guys all good suggestions.

John
