My apology... My cert is SDI (2017)...TDI does not show an Ice course, nor have they in the past, as far as I can tell.

... but SDI does: SDI Ice Diver .TDI does not show an Ice course, nor have they in the past, as far as I can tell.
The H-valve adapter that I mentioned in my OP attaches to a modular valve, which is part of the 2 valves with isolation manifold that I mentioned. I agree with you: the knobs point 90 degrees away from each other.Just take the doubles primer, I have an H valve and it's really a dreadfully poor mismash of knob directions and reg to knob conflicts. Also nearly the price of a manifold anyway.
Yep, which us why post #4 qioted from the SDI Ice Standards.... but SDI does: SDI Ice Diver .
Good to question. Fitting an EU valve into an US cylinder creates a time bomb. Instructor Killed by Blasted Tank Valve.I doubt that it's compatible because this product is made for modular valves sold in the European market.
You can use this H valve as a way to take the ice diving course in the immediate future sure. But it's a dead end. As soon as you actually get doubles and switch to them, you'll be looking at the weird valve in your scuba shed wondering why you bothered to spend 50 euros on it in the first place. The H-valve adapter that I mentioned in my OP attaches to a modular valve, which is part of the 2 valves with isolation manifold that I mentioned. I saw this product online and emailed the manufacturer and the online store a long time ago to find out if it's compatible with cylinders here in the U.S. They never replied. I doubt that it's compatible because this product is made for modular valves sold in the European market.

But that fitting he showed does not go into the cylinder (i.e. M25 vs 3/4) but rather into the modular valve that is already fitted to the cylinder.Good to question. Fitting an EU valve into an US cylinder creates a time bomb. Instructor Killed by Blasted Tank Valve.![]()
Excellent point. I've been wondering if this would fit into a North American modular valve. Perhaps I should email the store and the manufacturer once again and bug the crap outta them till they replyBut that fitting he showed does not go into the cylinder (i.e. M25 vs 3/4) but rather into the modular valve that is already fitted to the cylinder.
For me, the major problem with valve drills on an H-valves (or Y-valves) on a single tank is the knobs are right behind my head instead of out to the side, nearer my shoulder.Excellent point. I've been wondering if this would fit into a North American modular valve. Perhaps I should email the store and the manufacturer once again and bug the crap outta them till they reply. Because if it does in fact fit, the knobs would point in opposite directions, just as in manifolded doubles: much easier for valve drills vs. an H-valve.
