Thanks so much. Where can you add other tank sizes? I see the drop down (D10, D12 s80 etc) but not where I can add other tank sizes. Is there a help menu in the program?
click the "max time" button
then in the upper right "setup"
then enter in the new tank sizes, if its a single or double tanks, and their working pressures
now they will be in the drop down menus

I feel a bit stupid  Where can I find the max time button? Thanks for your patience! Tim

Ahhh, I thought Ihad replied to Rich's thread! Sorry..
I haven't got it on a computer, only my phone but I should imagine it is similar. I'm not sure how you do double Ali80s, I thought an S80 was practically the same as an Ali80 as I've got it in metric Bars and Litres.

To change it get to the home screen, with the burger menu, then cog for settings (right of your name in the picture), then "Dive configurator" tab. Pick which setting you want, scroll to the correct bottle and press edit on the bottom left, and change whatever you want.

Hope that helps,

Rich

Hi Rich, thanks. I'm going to test with doubling the s80 to 400bar and compare the calcs to my other dive programs.

Using 154 cuft at 200 bar would be better if any of those programs model the non-ideal nature of gas at higher pressure.

Volume is non-linear at higher pressures. Not sure if this is taken into account by dive planning software, if so it will show differences.

The standard "ideal gas" is simply the wet volume x pressure, e.g. a 10 litre cylinder at 200 bar contains 2000 litres of gas at atmospheric pressure (wet volume x pressure).

At 400 bar it does not contain 4000 litres if you count for non-ideal gasses (which the planners may do).

(Sorry the reference is very technical, couldn't find a simple one)

I use the Baltic app and like it a lot.

Is there any alternative to multideco for Android? I have been using tech deco for a quick look, but it only does 1 dive. Subsurface is great for the PC for multiple dives, but I'm not always around my PC.

I have played with multi deco to an extent. I like it but I don't like the reviews saying there's a lack of support, or that it makes you register again for no reason, or that it's hard to get a hold of the developer. Leaves me uneasy. I also don't like the fact that it's $45 or whatever. iDeco on the iphone does the same thing and it's like $9.... but I don't have a stupid iphone:D

Anything?
