Y’all are barking up the wrong tree. There is literally no incentive for the shipping companies to fix this, as they are making more money doing the same thing.
This is myopic. This is only relevant for certain ports. The opposite is true for many others.

If that article linked to above is any indication, what happened was the demise of the Teamsters and rise of independent contractors. Where's Jimmy Hoffa?

who knows maybe @Marie13 will stumble upon what is left of his shoes.

What makes you think that she doesn't have it in her u/w Museum already with other people's shoes?

What other reason is there for her not wanting to dive anywhere else warm and insists on diving the cold and dark waters of the Great Lakes? Finding famous/infamous people's shoes that were buried in these waters is her passion.

I don’t take anything when wreck diving except photos.

I can confirm that, at least on the retail side, things are sloooowww, still. Three shipments (two ordered from Germany a month ago and one from Austria 3 weeks ago) were supposed to be here this week. None has yet entered the USPS delivery system. One has been sitting in New York customs for two weeks.
Of course, the moment I posted this, two showed up in the local postal service!

But what do you take when you are not wreck diving? Those concrete planters on your balcony have suspicious markings on them…
