For those considering the fathom, it's getting harder and harder to beat it. Charlie's perfected hard mounted 3L suit inflation and oxygen for OW tech diving. Now you can have independent gas sources very easily. No more worrying about sharing suit and wing together. So now you've got 3 options. 1) onboard 50s with a soft mount for the oxygen (upper left unit in the photo) 2) offboard dil with onboard inflation and oxygen for sidemounting the bailout/dil (upper right unit in the photo) or 3) the new tech rig with onboard 50s, offboard suit and oxygen on really really sturdy mounts for OW trimix (unit on the ground)

Do your Kent Tooling mounts rattle something fierce too?

They'll rattle a little on the surface walking to the water, but not annoyingly. The new "tech" setup uses semi-permanantly mounted 50s, so 1 less thing to rattle since they're not attached with kent tooling mounts.
I really like the kent tooling mounts. They're really solid

Pretty much any "can" CCR can be rigged this way - except the Kiss classic as its a PVC tube and can't carry the weight of 50s

I don’t disagree, but you don’t see a ton rigged that way regularly. Or manufacturers that are going out of their way to give their customers options. Charlie’s been trying different things like soft mounts vs hard mounting to get the 3liters right. Most manufacturers just set their units up for the typical single al40 or 80 diver and leave it up to instructors or students to come up with alternative options. A ton of people have no idea they can run suit gas in a stand-alone bottle other than your typical bp mounted al6 or off board dilout , let alone set up 50s with split inflation sources to make trimix diving setup easier unless you’ve been around gue JJ divers.
I think Charlie’s doing a good job of giving his customers pre-configured options for different types of diving, which was all I was highlighting.

BTW you can get a stand for that thing too.

Now you're just being ridiculous.
Is it easily removable for travel?

got any more pics of the new mounts? I'm pretty happy with the kent tooling brackets but I'm curious to see what the new ones look like up close.

Can sits right on the little ledge.

Damn you

It's hard to see in the photo since I already mounted the bottles, but the 50s holder is just 2 Kent Tooling STAs held toghether with some bolts. Then the 3L mounts are the same kent tooling ones that holds the suit gas/oxygen that comes with the standard fathom. I shouldve take before photos
