Kimela, here's a link to the "sticks" we use. https://amzn.to/3iS4kjs We like these because the locking mechanism for the collapsible sections is a fold over clasp instead of a twist to tighten. We find that the twist to tighten mechanisms can begin to lose their ability to stay tight after just a few saltwater dives. We attach them to our tanks with latex tubing https://amzn.to/3BLqs7C (bungee material works too). We cover this and other helpful tips in the following video. Enjoy!

Thank you! We're going in October - staying at Plaza Resort (we wanted to do boat diving as well as shore diving, and they were the ONLY place that had boat dives available still when we booked on July 6th!). What a great idea - using walking sticks!

Entering (IMHO) can be the issue- certain times of the year-so having a stick to accommodate would be perfect. Exiting is not an issue and yes, I am all about having it stowed while diving. The young side of me on entry says no problem!.. the experienced (older) side says uh no..
A day or two can make all the difference at a site.

We’re staying North of BOPEC this week with Tailor Made!

OK great, that's where they are. Our last trip 2 years ago we went up there to dive Candyland and Tailor Made but weren't even close to those entries.
The topography was great, but I made a note to find better entries. We both watched the videos and will watch them again in about 3 weeks (???maybe, 3rd try) when we are on island and head up north again.

Hey folks! These past two weeks we've tried something new. We hope you enjoy these Island Drives!

Who wants to go for a boat ride?!? We hope you enjoy this POV time lapse video of boating around Bonaire!
