Makes sense to me!

My biggest dilemma right now? Go on the Juliet in October in a standard cabin with no personal "head" or to Cozumel. Find a week next year on Juliet with an ensuite cabin. Decisions decisions!!

Juliet for certain!!!

It's been decided! After much thought on whether I really need to have my own head/bathroom, I decided to give it a try having a standard cabin. We did book cabin 4 the "honeymoon" cabin which looks very nice and has a queen bed. I also let them know we would like to switch should either of the ensuites become available, but I think it'll be fine. Only one way to find out right?

I can't wait to go diving again and I've heard great things about The Juliet!

Please do report back on your trip and what you thought of the boat. I'd consider it in the future if the reports are positive.

I wish you a great trip with awesome, safe and enjoyable diving.

Thanks so much, I will post a report on our return. The trip is Oct 2-8 so I will post after we get back that weekend. I have read only positive great things about The Juliet so I feel good about booking. The only "downside" I guess is that I would have preferred having our own head/bathroom, but hey you can't have everything right? And who knows, maybe afterwards I'll think whoop de doo, it wasn't a big deal and it's cheaper :)

...having own head is not really a big deal at all....i just came off the Juliet yesterday after a week in the Bahamas...I have been on the Juliet at least a dozen times and if I had to wait a few minutes for the bathroom it was only a few times...you will have a great time...

Is the crew good about cleaning and disinfecting the shared facilities? What about showers in the morning when everyone has to go at the same time?

I'm told crew is good about cleaning, and I am an early riser. I've only seen one person get up soon after me on liveaboards, so I think I'm fine. If not, I'll find out and figure it out. Only one way to know is to try it!

Thank you. This is going to be a special trip for our 20th wedding anniversary even though our anniversary is 8/25. Interestingly, our local dive shop has that week chartered on Juliet and while I initially was going to book with them, I chose not for a couple of reasons, one of which is a huge uncharge they made on The Juliet Sailing that week. We decided to wait and book directly with Juliet for October.

I've been on the Juliet 1/2 a dozen times or so... Cabin 4 is my go to when I can't get the ensuite. There's a rattan chair in the cabin, along with a book shelf with random books people have left for the next trip.
As for the shower(s). There is one shower below decks for everyone that isn't in an ensuite. (So 4 cabins). There is also a topside shower with hot and cold fresh water. The crew keeps it stocked with shampoo and conditioner. I rarely use the below decks, except the last morning when we're docked and waiting for customs.
