Have to cancel 2026 Cocos (Costa Rica) trip - anyone want it

Hi all,

Due to a family emergency, we cannot make our January 2026 liveaboard to the Cocos. We booked the Okeanos Agressor II. These boats book up well in advance. Aggressor will only return our down payment if someone else books it . . . here is the listing if interested for the Suite 11.

It is Jan 24 to Feb 3 2026 and $7,249 pp.

It's an expensive cabin but it's one of the biggest on the boat.

A polite suggestion ... when one wants to cancel and have someone take their places it helps to offer an incentive. The closer to the trip date the greater the incentive.

Of course at this point it looks as though you have canceled the reservation so it is back in Aggressor's hands. And they will have no incentive to help you.

i wish you luck, but doubt anyone is going to bite at that price to go to Costa Rica. That is Raja Ampat pricing there. and Agressor is not known for their friendliness in refunding is my understanding.
