This is going to turn something like car modification! No ending!
Keep going and have fun.

Hobby is priceless.

Even with the longer BC with IP135 both my G250V crack at .7, .8” can’t tune them to 1” without a spring shim. :banghead:
But if you can get 0.7", just turn the knob in a turn. Or, like @couv said, throw in a shim.

If 0.7" is the max you can get, well, that's a problem.

Yes I have, maybe I just need to find that magical spring. I disorder checked calibration on my mag.

Make sure you're looking right but that your tongue is on the left side of your mouth, I've had good success doing this.

I often end up with .8" especially on converted G250s, in water no issue. Interestingly I often struggle to get lower than 1.1" on G250Vs, depends how much wiggle room I want it to have, can get down to .9-1" if I'm patient.

I encounterd this super low cracking .6-.7" after using some damaged orifices which I tried to tidy up using a lathe, which only flattened out edge and increased seat surface contact. It was a fail.

If I turn the knob in yes I can get over 1.5, I just wanted to see factory spec with knob out and no shim, like yours. Unless your testing with a lowering IP. With the shim I’m at 1 with knob all the way out.

My point, is orifice unmolested?
They are the original orifices when I purchased the regulators, they look to be in good condition, unmolested. Maybe I’ll swap one for a new orifice I have a few. I figured since they seal with such light spring pressure the orifice would be fine.
