Why aren't fins for a frog kicker canted 10 degrees?

You really need ones that work better for the frog and acceptable for the flutter instead wholly for one extreme or another. That’s how you end up with crap like split fins.

One year after I patented the first Split Fin (coined the name) others came out marketing a piece of <<<<get my point. These flat floppy shoe fins were worthless. [Mod Edit] The dive press took us down with one after another FAKE dive fin test reviews.. In Federal Court we found out they had never tested the Force Fin Foil Force, which I made by request from a USMC combat diver who liked to scissor kick 15 feet below the surface. Kind of funny to respond to this post having just scanned the past. I do not really market the Foil Force fin due to a bad taste in my mouth. But it's a great Split Fin. Looks a little strange. For example here are breaststroke specific swim fins to improve your frog kick. Now where are the scuba fins specific for frog kick?

first of all how would you do any other kick in these fins? (flutter, helicopter etc)

second the side of a Jet fin has about the same surface area as the power surface here

lastly, getting them on your feet and waddling over to the boat door should be pretty interesting

Also (not intended toward the Chairman here, but back to the OP), if someone is using the sides of their fins for frog kicking, I don't think they are doing it right.

Frog kicking... why not fins canted 10 degrees ? Great POST , Answer. I dove for a least 20 years in jet fins 1966-1980. I always wondered why I was twisting my leg and fin to get the right angle. So 20 years ago I made the OPS for Ocean Futures Dive team. With the Foil blade attachment I was able to do a Frog Kick with a twist of one Foil. All I had to do was just move my legs out and in. Found several pairs I plan to sell. Also you could balance trust. If one leg was hut (military) you could power up one blade and back off on the other.

I think it’s just the confusion when you’re putting your fins on in the surf. Last thing you’d want to have happen is get them on wrong in chop. I’ve seen divemasters lose fins and it’s a dive ender. Or even worse, you realize once you’re out, try to switch, lose one, and then you’re really in trouble.

I follow divemasters, that throw the customers remaining fin off
the boat to follow and find the first one the customer dropped in

and find them in 30msw
