i have the same one but the mesh pocket is a pain in the ass to get the reel out of. I went back to a regular smb and reel assembly. i practice deployment on pretty much every dive now.

:rofl3: I second that! Most of the time my reel is not stored in the mesh pocket as I use it on every dive or almost too.

I think i'm going to get the all black smb from piranha for my next trip. orange just clashes with everything.

I've been told that black on one side of DSMBs are ideal for late afternoon pickups when you are between the boat and the sun. The black contrasts with the light reflecting on the water. I have no personal experience for this. I think AP diving sells one like that if I'm not mistaken. I'm actually looking at getting a couple more DSMBs, one that is black on one side. Another one that is pink (maybe get one if I can find pink and black).

Why do you think the mesh pocket would be an issue?
Corners of the exhaust T catching on the mesh or perhaps the mouthpiece ziptie? The person in the product video on the Amazon page seemed to have some issues. Nothing practice probably can't fix, but why chance it? <shrug>

My preference is actually for oral inflate because of the lack of buoyancy change. There is far more time to ensure nothing has gotten caught up or tangled. In order to get more repetition while practicing, I've even had enough time to deflate instead of releasing. Very forgiving.

Check out one of the other colors for more pictures:

Thanks. That helps. I'm just not a fan of plastic inflation valves.

I am not based in USA and so is OP.

Sorry, I didn't know. You can still email Randy and he'll quote what shipping would be. He has too many options for shipping on his site and it's a pain to figure it out, I just always tell him to use whatever's cheapest. He will give shipping quotes if you give him an address though.

I have no idea what that would cost though.
