Old gopro housing works well if it is a keyless fob or a folding key.

Although, after coming back from a dive to a broken window, I now use an old battery canister for phone, wallet, and keys, and don't lock my vehicle anymore.

What to do with car keys when shore diving??

I once had a keybox from the surfshop, you attach it to where to ring for towing is (or any other appropriate place).
Then I left it under my car while driving of and destroyed it.

So now I just put it behind the wheel in the rim. Or just near the suspension.

What is a fob?

I have an extra key that I keep under the rear bumper pad that attached to top of the chrome bumper.
Lately I’m thinking of just emptying my truck out and leaving everything unlocked and windows down like they do in Bonaire. I figure if your truck is locked and someone really wants to get in they’ll just smash a window. Leave them down and they either leave your truck alone or maybe check the glove box and move on.

What's a chrome bumper?

:giggle:

It’s the silver version of the parking space expander.

Get a metal water bottle from target/walmart or a sporting goods store. Get one with a nice screw cap that completely seals it rather than having a mouthpiece. Should be under $10. Then duct tape it to your dive flag's pole. Works great. Alternatively, I've taken my valet key clipped to my bcd. That' works fine too as my valet key doesn't have the remote built onto it.

kind of like this:

I had another key made to unlock the door and have it on a piece of string around my neck

I have a lockable topper on my truck bed. I wear the small key on a neck lanyard under my wet or drysuit while diving.

Thank you, sir! I really like that idea.
