Hey Everyone, mentioned this on another thread yesterday but see a few people searching for solutions here for their car keys while shore diving too.
Lots of creative solutions out there already, but hey, had to make sure those that may want it know about DRYFOB too.

We found that the bags would puncture, plastic containers were too big or not sufficiently waterproof and too buoyant. We also tried attaching keys to a float and the rope broke! Had to chase our flag into the boat channel. We finally ended up developing our own solution which we've only recently launched as https://www.dryfob.com

Small enough to fit in a BCD pocket or clip on a D-ring it has dual O-rings and is machined out of anodized aluminum. It is neutrally buoyant (with FOB) and is IPx8 rated to 130 ft/1hr and Dive Lab tested to 200fsw. I've tested it to 260ft for 24hrs in a pressure pot too. $49.99 retail. Available in metallic blue or red. It's also on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z32DNJW Please make sure your key fits (1.65"x3.75").

We are very proud of our DRYFOB waterproof car key container and just wanted fellow divers to know it's out there!!

I like to bury mine in the sand and conduct a post dive search for them. :)

When I lived in the US and mainly dove in Puget Sound I'd very craftily hide them behind my fuel filler flap. I even locked my truck.

Now I live in Bonaire and locking the truck at a dive site is asking to buy a new side window for just short of $500. I have an old camera case for a compact camera. I bring that instead of a wallet. It holds a driver's license, a few bucks in cash, and my truck key. I securely attach it to my BCD. So far it's worked for about 180 dives. Last week someone did rifle through the truck when my wife was diving. We don't leave money in the truck. They didn't even take the cold beer in the small cooler in the back seat. All of the windows are still intact.
