Barring any storm issues, I should be flying in on Labor Day and diving with Blue Angel.
I was told they are not doing night dives at the moment.
I read a few posts from a week or two ago that mentioned night diving with Scuba Luis and Jungle Divers and I have a message into both.

Has anyone done a night dive lately?
Any other recs for a dive op that is offering them?

On another note, are the mosquitoes still bad? I am a magnet...

Thanks

Aldora was picking up a couple at 4pm to dive, so I assume this is as close to night as one will get. Call Aldora.

I seldom notice them even after a rain, but take DEET, spray early and often, avoid the bites and possible infections.

The mosquitos are really bad in Coz right now. I wore Bert's 100% DEET to protect myself.
I stayed and dove with Blue Angel a couple weeks ago and they were allowing night shore dives from their hotel so long as you were diving with BA Dive Op. (Very easy access, but watch out for the sea urchins!) . Perhaps things have changed??

Just go to the dive shop when you get there and talk to them about shore night dives. You get unlimited use of tanks too! (If you are diving with them).

Their shore area has a lot to see too! I was very surprised. They are next to the big stingray pen thingy and you can see two large nurse sharks that are hanging out by the fence. (Another story).

Do they still have a ladder by where the boats dock? That's where we always exited to ensure we came out urchin-free.

This email from August 20:
“At this moment, we are not doing night dives, ¿why? Harbor master closes the navigation at the night to this activity, so we can’t go out.”

That is for night BOAT dives.
You can do SHORE dives at night from Blue Angel. (At least I could 2 weeks ago...)

Ask about shore dives at night or twilight when you check-in at the BA Dive Shop.
