Covid19 and liveaboard cancellations?

That seems to be what we're seeing so far. Airlines, hotels, dive charters, etc. booked on the front or tail end of LOB departures are all being very understanding and offering no fee reschedules. Not so much the LOBs, although I have heard of a couple boats offering reschedules. I haven't heard anything like that from the 800 pound gorilla LOBs though.
 
If certain LOB companies play hard ball with refunds/rescheduling, they should not be surprised if their previously loyal clients look elsewhere for future trips. Doing the right thing is important at the moment, even if it hurts your bottom line. Look at the sacrifices that small businesses around the world are making.

Agreed. I reached out to the LOB I have scheduled and offered a couple of alternatives to cancelling to preserve their revenue stream (paying in full now, but being offered flexibility if I can't make it or paying in full now for a gift certificate/voucher that I can use on a rebooking). I assume they would rather have 100% of my money in their pockets now to continue operations rather than 40% and a cancellation, but I haven't heard back yet.
 
Anybody hear anything from Aggressor yet? I've got about 5 days to make the 60% refund window or take my chances that things get back to normal (ok, normal enough for me to go) by June.
I would not count on Aggressor Fleet doing anything in your favor, only in their favor. Good luck on June ....I'm also hoping for some clarity and flexibility by then. But Aggressor will be a follower, and only if absolutely necessary, not a leader.
 
I really hope that they are following these posts.
I know some of the LOBs have specific subforums on SB so we may be better off posting in those.
 
That doesn't actually say anything about rescheduling, or refunds.
True, but it beats the silent treatment.
