So it looks like I'll be coming out for work the end of January. My plan is to come out Friday night, dive Saturday & Sunday. I want to try to get some dives during the week, but it will be after 5 or 6.

I need to be able to rent some 2 liter inline valve tanks (APD inspiration Evo+) and sorb for my rebreather.

I have never dove the West Coast before so I'm open to pretty much anything. I love diving wrecks and can do trimix, although shallow stuff is fine.

I plan on cross-posting to the RB forum as well.

Thanks

Strange that no one chipped in yet, but you could check the Marissa for a rebreather and tek friendly boat. Waterhorse charters is also an option.
I am not familiar with tek shops in San Diego, but you should try other forums -not just RBworld (or ask the Marissa/Waterhorse).
There are regular shore divers off of La Jolla cove in the evenings and weekends. Check Power Scuba as an example of an active group.

Thank you very much.

San Diego Divers got back to me and said they could support my rebreather needs. They recommend Marissa & Waterhorse as well.

Excellent. It's a good time to dive weather permitting, temperatures are still reasonable (high to mid 50's at depth). The Yukon is almost a must if you are new to SoCal diving, although this is no Florida viz (30 ft is considered outstanding down there)... Ruby E, NOSC tower are some other easy but interesting dives. Hogan, Missile Tower, Scripps Canyon, Murray Head, P-38, F-4, etc. are considered technical and you would need to secure some He and more significant bailout, not mentioning that they are more rarely scheduled.

Thanks guys for the recommendations, some things came up and I wasn't able to dive this trip, but I'll be out again a few times this year.
