I have a couple of 6” HP hoses from when I did SM. I’ll dig one out and see how that works for the transmitter.
Config looks good. Perhaps put the back up regulator in front of the LP inflator hose. For me, in case I need to feel back to grab the 2nd stage, I don't want to grab the LP hose of the inflator.

Good idea. I sat on a bench on the shop’s sales floor, borrowed tools, and reconfigured everything, then put my doubles on to check hose lengths. I had a picture to go off.

I think if you just rotate the 1st stage to angle the transmitter down more, you'll be fine. Mine is pointing straight down (although I have those sharp bends in hoses everyone worries about). You have some leeway to at least get it diagonal.
And then the transmitter doesn't feel like the valve knob, if you have any dexterity in whatever exposure protection you have on your hands. Do you use wet gloves or dry gloves? It's great you have access to a pool.

Gloves depend on the water temp. I'll dive with 3mm gloves if it's warmish (which for me is 55-60F and above), otherwise dry gloves . I have pretty decent dexterity in my dry gloves. I'll play around with the angle of the first stages.
This is the second winter in a row shop has regularly scheduled pool practice dates for already certified divers. I was sort of the catalyst for it last winter. I kept asking and it was scheduled. Four sessions (Dec through March), 4 hours per session on a Saturday afternoon, $100 for all 4 sessions. Instructor or DM supervises. There will be a class going on at the same time, but we get our own lane. Bunch of us usually go out to dinner afterwards. There's a couple of shops in the area that have pools, but they are just too small. This is a 25m long public pool, so you can really stretch out when working on kicks and such.
Only two months until the quarry opens!

Ps. 55F and 3mm gloves... did someone mention you are crazy?
The owners close it in the winter. Private quarry, their choice. It's open from early April to late October. They open for one weekend, sometime in February. This year, there's ice diving only. Previous couple of years, it's been cold water diving. It's located in northern IL. There's not a lot of demand for diving in the winter. There are a couple of quarries within a 6 hour drive (southern IL and NW OH) that are open year round.
Re: 55F and 3mm gloves - I have something of a high cold tolerance. I have been told multiple times I'm crazy. And I fully admit it.
