Anybody seen a pro valve that doesn't have the yoke clearance chamfers cut into the back like this one? It came on a used tank I bought. My LDS checked the part number on the valve and said it should have been a standard pro valve. The valve in the tank is the new one I bought to replace the one we couldn't get a yoke over.

Looks like it might be a valve for 300bar DIN with an adapter wedged in it.

Does the adapter bottom out in the valve, and remain flush with the face of the valve?

Can you remove the adapter and count how many threads are in the valve opening? If it is 7 it is a 300bar valve and would therefore not have the indent/cutout for yoke regulator and more likely than not, a yoke regulator would not fit over it as you experienced.

If there are only 5 threads in the valve opening, then I'm stumped.

I'll count the threads when I get home tonight. My LDS said that the part number on the valve is for a pro valve with low pressure burst disc.
 
Blue Steel's website does show the model 10111 valve as a 200/232 Bar, 2400psi service pressure valve.

There 10113 valve is a 300 Bar valve.

It is hard to make out the exact model number from your picture.

If it is a 10111, perhaps it is mis-marked?

This is the best picture I have at the moment. I emailed Blue Steel, but they weren't sure about this valve.

It's an old Blue Steel. I had a ton of them. No yokes fit on them except for old US Divers Micra first stage (the first stage that came with the Micra). But, I was using them for DIN regs anyway. The inserts are the bomb, they use 014 orings instead of 111 or 112.
 
Is there a divot for a yoke screw on the back?

I didn't like the depth of them. Deeper than a 200 bar DIN, not as deep as a 300 bar DIN, they used every thread you had on a 200 bar regulator, and so the DIN nut would bottom out. You'll see them on the white painted Faber cylinders. Which is what I think your picture shows, doesn't it?
