Now that is odd of true. I may be wrong, I have been diving on tec modes when I have used the 6m last stop setting.
It's definitely true with the Perdix, I know this is a Teric thread but I assume they're the same.
As you can see from this picture out of the manual, the 10ft is greyed out.

Indeed. In my opinion it would be a useful option there too.

Not to get off topic, but this thread now has me wondering how tec divers (or their computers) calculate requisite deco stop times and depths for a given algorithm. Anyone have any good links?

Divers choose an algorithm to use, which ultimately provides a set of equations used to calculate stop times and depths. In days gone by, the output for selected dive profiles was published in the form of tables. These days, desktop software is used to pre-plan specific profiles or dive computers do the calculations on the fly. Two good sources are

No one has explained why there is a choice in your computer setting for doing a 20' or a 10' deco depth. If you do deco on 100% oxygen - the MOD for oxygen is 20 feet. So if you plan on doing deco on 100% oxygen then set your Shearwater to have the last stop at 20 feet. If you don't then set it for 10 feet. It will a more efficient deco stop at 10 feet. But you may prefer 20 feet in the ocean or choppy water just to make holding that depth easier.

I think the most obvious reason is to get more accurately calculated TTS, if you know that you will be doing your last stop at 20' instead of 10'.
