Best rEvo sensor configuration?

I think my buddy was running the secondary and HUD with only 2 sensors and sharing them. The controller was wired to 3 cells and not sharing any of them.

I run 4 cells on my unit. Primary reads 1 2 3. secondary reads 1 2 4. HUD reads 1 2 4.
I use splitters with isolation built in so no need to worry about a bad cell causing others to read wrong. Primary and secondary share 1 and 2 but the last spot has different cells on it. HUD and secondary should always line up also. this way I have a digital readout to compare to my HUD when stressed.

cell 3 on the primary is all by it self and will act as a "hail mary" if it ever comes to that on my rig
 
The correct answer is sell that waffle smelling mayo-on-fries commie piece of junk and get a real rebreather!

Although if I were running one ::shudder:: I'd go Don's way. They make splitters with isolation built-in. It's not complicated, it's just an in-line resistor.

Narked@90 sells them, but they're not cheap. If you can solder, you can make them yourself. There's a wiring diagram floating around somewhere, maybe RB world?

I custom made 3 way splitters. Other wise you end up with splitters on splitters and a tangled mess of wiring to try and keep sorted out.

True, but that’s the least important scenario. I’d be more worried about 2 sensors being off (like current limited) and reading 1.2, while the “bad” sensor (that’s actually correct) is reading 2.4. In that scenario, the two current limited cells are voting out the good cell...which is why it’s nice to have independent cells for validation.

and/or a Liberty where you can manually select which cells to ignore and override the voting logic so after the validation, you can make sure the solenoid isn't going to try to vote out the wrong cell. *hint hint, wink wink @tcoen *
 
You can override the voting logic on any unit by cutting off the O2 supply at the solenoid...run it manual and deco off your backup....
