Not to rain on anyone's parade.

Chances of getting a good video or the Threshers is remote. They are a shy creature, and because of all the commotion with "divers" flapping about by the rope etc, they tend to stay a way away. You'll see them but they'll just be a small dot on your video. If they show up that is

That said you might be lucky. On my second morning there, we'd dropped in just after dawn to avoid the day boat and the cluster that ensues. Because it's near 30m I hung around at teh top of the drop off (around 15m) conserving my NDL until it got brighter.

Damn a thresher came from behind literally over my shoulder as it was patrolling the wall behind all the divers lower down looking the other way. I got a fleeting crap 5 seconds of video because I was so shocked - but the video was enough to prove my story. No one else saw one that dive...

Well thank you for your story. I want to make a try! I will need the equipment anyway

I also recommend the GoPro Super Suit housing, available at most u/w camera retailers. U.S. Price is $50. If budget is primary concern, the wrist mount or pole mount will work, but look into a tray with handles in order to capture the smoothest footage. Selfie sticks shake, vibrate, and are difficult to hold very steady, although you'll be perched on the bottom for Threshers, which helps.

I wrote a full GoPro Settings tutorial here: GoPro Underwater Settings & Accessories

Good luck!

First of all let me say that I saw the pictures in the websites you have in the signature
Awesome, really, I do appreciate your works
I will try to learn as much as possible from your Go Pro Settings Tutorial
I would like also to get more accessories, in particular a Backscatter red filter and also a tray with handles, but I am appalled by the cost of this next trip I have to make hhaahaha
Anyway I saw you suggest Flip Filters Double Handle & Tray with GoPro Tripod Adaptor which is $59.00 as per your tutorial. Not much for this accessory itself, the point is that as we say in Italian many pinches can hurt more than one punch, you know

If you get the Super Suit, utilize the spare back cover with the cutaway for the LCD screen to remove the Lens on the GoPro. It worked great for that initial removal.

You wouldn’t believe how expensive is buying backscatter from the Us here in Europe. Still, many suggest backscatter as the only good choice for filters. Especially filters for below 20 meters or red filters to be used together with a light
