I like the water level site. The levels over the past 2 years is real nice. Gives you an idea of what to expect is going to happen soon.
But the water temp site I don't have much trust in. It showed yesterday the temp was 72° but I showed 66° from the surface to 108 feet. Even deep visibility isn't that good right now.

About the Temp, well yeah I agree... I dove today and it was 66 even @ depth of 100' (no thermoclines).
About the link I sent, please notice that it's an EST Water Temp. I also recommend to click on What's it icon to understand more :). Thank you!

New years eve. The Christmas trees are a long swim to be found in about 60 feet of water in a comfortable 56° water. Vis was acceptable at about 15'. It has been several years since I was there and found the road bed to be difficult to follow, a lot of it is gone or buried. Best if you find the eastern edge and follow that. Not many trees left. Looks like someone put a fresh one in a couple years ago, it was the only one that still had needles on it.

48° @ 150' with pretty good vis. Surface temp was low 50's. Water still rising, but the spillway is still an RV parking lot.

What are the conditions at the lake right now? Lake high or low. Surface temps and the rest. Old Scubasteve is ready to return to my old spawning grounds

The water level is close to the tree, if you know what I mean...

As you may be aware, the lake provides its best visibility round March-April and after that, the vis starts getting poor.
Vis is also subjected to depth.
Usually, this time of the year, vis opens under ~40' (but you'll also bump into the 1st thermocline).
  • I dove with Jennifer by 5/5/18, not deeper than 40' and vis was about 7'.
  • I also dove to the Boat Wreck by 4/29/18 and vis tended to be ~10' at some parts (between 40' to the wall).
My best recommendation to be- don't stay dry and get there asap.
All the best.
