How much does your LDS charge for VIP and fill? How much does your gas station charge for gasoline to the hydro place and back home, then, back to the hydro place and to the LDS?

I used to get my own hydros, 'till I found a shop that I wanted to support. Getting my own hydros is still an option if I can't wait for the shop to get a truckload of tanks out of hydro. Once, when I thought I might be slightly bent, they put me on O2 and refused to let me pay for it.....Its all good...

Retesters are required to do a visual before doing the hydro testing but they are not required to put a sticker on the tank. There may be some places that will fill your tank if the hydro test has been done within the past year but my guess is that most shops won't and will insist upon doing a VIP. I get mine tested for $20 but if you need a VIP and a fill then the price difference may end up being very small between taking it yourself or having your LDS take care of it.

Firex in Portsmouth does the hydro and vip and will also fill the tanks . I highly Recommend
Do you know the cost? I find myself in Portsmouth often enough to consider it.

Those are really good prices. Worth a drive to Portsmouth, I've got 2 hydros and 3 vips this year so far. Thanks for the heads up
