Do you still use a SPG with a AI computer?

My DCs are a Perdix AI and a Hollis DG03 (unless my wife quits diving and then I'll have two Perdix). My plan is to have Perdix monitor Xmtr 1 as primary and Xmtr 2 secondarily and have the DG03 to do the opposite. The Perdix is the driving computer and the DG03 is a backup. I've been using GF 40/85, but thinking about going to a more conservative setting of 35/75. IF I have a total failure, I'll WANT to surface because my attitude at that point would really suck, and I probably wouldn''t be able to clear my mask often enough to remove all of the tears in my mask. :)

One other benefit that I just thought of is that if you lose pressure readout, with multiple transmitters you can easily troubleshoot to isolate the faulty device, The same applies with multiple receivers.

I'll stick with my backup SPG and computer, considerably less expensive than a 2nd AI computer and transmitter.

Me too, and I do exactaly that. But the question was if you already had two AI computers...

In my Save-a-Dive kit, I have a spare transmitter (#3) and a spare DC (#3) as well as a console with SPG and depth gauge and just a straight SPG. I think I'm covered. Gosh, I sure hope so!

Having two AI computers was not the original question.
True, but it WAS the question that I posed that "IF you had two AI DCs, would there be enough redundancy?".

At 110 feet this weekend my transmitter quit. I had a SPG so it was no problem. I had been considering removing the SPG but I think I'll keep it.
