One nice feature offered by CA - and they do this on LC also - is that each person can pack a bag the day before you depart and they will pick it up at the resort (or you can drop it at the airport if you are renting a property) and it will be waiting for you when you arrive on GC the next day. We usually pack up our dive gear and get rid of it the night before leaving; it makes things a bit easier.
Now that's marketing. :)

I always thought of this as a minor nuisance/necessary evil, not a feature...they do it when they know the small plane will be full in the am, to make sure all the luggage can get over.

-Hills are nice for scenery but she has some orthopedic issues so walking and sightseeing on foot should be pretty flat.

St. Lucia is mountainous. I've visited twice on cruise ship stops; nothing I've read suggests a lot of flat terrain for walking tours. Be interested to hear if anyone knows differently. It's a beautiful island. Has 3 Sandals resorts if that appeals. I imagine they could produce some entertainment.

Placencia, Belize! The diving is a bit far out but other than that it's all you've described. Rent a car at airport and drive down. Lots of things to see and do in Belize and Placencia is a super chill place.

Can you fly into Placencia on a jet? I have never been there so I am curious. I am thinking of Ambergris Caye when we had to take a propeller plane from the mainland.

You don't have to take advantage of the opportunity if it is inconvenient. I like getting rid of my gear after we stop diving and not worrying about it making my plane, but it can be a scramble to get it packed before the pick-up.

St. Croix was a good suggestion. ,,,,The Fredricksted Pier is also great for snorkeling. There is shopping and restaurants and a small casino. You can take a tour one of the rum factories and that's a lot of fun.

From some quick internet browsing it seems to me
-All the nicer beach places are over near Christenstead
-Diving looks more appealing to me near Fredricksted (Pier looks especially interesting to me. BHB on steroids.
-Did "shopping and restaurants and a small casino" apply to St. Croix in general to to Fredicksted area. Casino is not a necessity by far but if there is one my wife enjoys a bit of slot action.

There's a place I stayed on Curacao that if I remember correctly had a casino attached, a dive op on site, a decent shore dive right in front and a nice beach. I don't remember what is was called but can dig it up if it's worth your consideration.

There's actually several resorts on Curacao that meet that more or less.

The older Hilton but the shore dive is a healthy surface swim out.
The currently closed for remodeling Marriott.
The Renaissance but no shore dive/beach there. They'll shuttle you 2mi. to their Hilton shop instead.
Veneto/Holiday Beach Resort - Goby Dive is onsite.
The Sunscape AI mentioned above.

Fairly complete list: Casinos Not sure why the Hiton's isn't shown - I've been there.

Christiansted has the restaurants and shopping. Fredriksted has the pier and the shallower dive sites ( boat ). The north shore Cane Bay/Davis Bay have good shore diving to any depth, but the wall is a fair surface swim. Beaches are better to the west and north shore IMHO but there are many to visit. Christiansted to Fredriksted is about a 45 min drive depending on traffic.
