The RIX compressor weighs in at 150 lbs and it is 110 volt, but it takes a 30 amp breaker. My compressor you could put it in a suitcase and fly anywhere you want to go.I have used a pure sine wave inverter to run this compressor when i have gone camping.
If it takes 4 hours to fill a tank it would mean a rebuild every 50 or so tanks. Wow.The compressor can reach about 8,000 psi, we keep it to 5,000 with a burst disc. I have no intention of comparing this comp to a Rix. I was just saying we are small and portable. I ship these comp all over the world, i just empty them of water and they are good.I think this comp is best suited to small fills and convenience. I have plenty of spare parts, we are the sole distributors of these comp worldwide, it takes about 1hr to rebuild a piston ( just Orings), a rebuild kit is $30, it comes with a spare rebuild kit. On average ,we see about 200-300 hrs before a rebuild.
I think the Rix comp needs to be greased at 25 hrs which means taken apart.. If it takes 20-30 min to fill a tank, then that would be 50-60 or so tanks, wow......close to this one.
