DIN insert for DIN/Yoke valve

I'm looking to buy 232 bar DIN to Yoke insert, but having a hard time finding the 232 bar in U.S. Finding lots of 200 bar. Any suggestions where I could get them in USA is appreciated. These are the inserts you put in the DIN valve with a hex key.

I think you are talking about the same thing. we talk about valves as 200 BAR (3000 psi) and 300 BAR (4500 psi) but those are not exact conversions. The lower 200 BAR is really rated about (3440 psi) 232 BAR

I'm not sure where you are in NJ, but I've got dozens of "donuts" that convert 200/232 bar DIN valves to yoke. If you're near me, just drive buy and pick up a few, no charge.

Thanks for the info. All responses, so far, seem to indicate the 200 bar inserts should work. I have inserts that are rated up to 200 bar and these inserts don't seem to screw into my Faber 3442 psi tank, but I'll try again.

It's a valve, not a 200/232 bar issue. What's the make (and model) of the valve? (and wouldn't you really rather use a DIN 1st stage )

It's the small screw out DIN to yoke insert I'm inquiring about. The DIN to yoke insert is about the size of a quarter in diameter, thick and has 5 to 7 threads on it. There is a hex key opening in the center where the air flows through and where the hex key is inserted to remove or install the insert. I bought 2 DIN to yoke inserts rated up to 200 bar and they don't seem to screw into my Faber tank. My Faber tank working pressure is 3442 psi. I had read that inserts rated only up to 200 psi don't screw into tanks that work at higher pressures. Faber tanks are made in Italy, so maybe it's a metric/imperial issue also.

It must be some other problem. There are 2 designs for scuba din valves. They are nominally referred to as "200 bar" and "300 bar" and differ by the number of threads. The "200 bar" design has 5 threads which is what is usually found on all US din tanks with a rated pressure less than 3500 psi. The "300 bar" design has 7 threads and is usually found on tanks rated for 3500 psi and higher. The insert only works on "200 bar" valves.

Are you sure you do not have an older Fabers tank rated for 3500psi? Is there a dimple (recess) on the back of the valve where a yoke screw would have to set?

There shouldn't be any metric/Imperial issue since the DIN fitting is standard. When you say they don't screw into the valve, do they thread in at all or can you not get them started? Even if the valve was a regular DIN only valve, the inserts should screw in just fine, you just wouldn't be able to fit a yoke reg on it.
