I was wondering if the hoses supplied by DRIS were sourced from the same manufacturer or may have the same issues as some have had.Nylon-Braided Regulator Hose Diving Emergency
Hi Andy, it's hard to know if these are from the same supplier. There aren't many people making hoses. That being said, they do make a couple different levels of hoses. That could be a very cheap hose that they make, or been a part of a recall. It's hard to know. I do know our hoses were never part of the recall because we only buy the highest end they make, not the cheaper versions. I do have an email to our vendor to see if anything has changed or get their thoughts, but at this time, I wouldn't be concerned with the DRIS hoses. I would, just like anything, monitor your gear though. Whether that is loosening hoses, loosening bolts, rotted straps, bad o-rings, or whatever to always be on the front side of identifying issues with gear as it does take some abuse and we take it somewhere that can have catastrophic results.

Mike, thanks for the info. The issue I was wondering about is the interior of the hose falling apart not the ends coming off. I do check my gear often but this problem is kind of hard to check for with out destroying the hose by cutting into it. I did however pull my hoses off to check for any bits that have come off and all is well.

My point was we only buy and sell the higher end of the hoses. I'm not sure what happened to those other hoses, or what quality level they bought. I would check as you did. I currently have a couple emails out to try and get some answers on what the culprit may have been on that other hose.

They appear to be early production Miflex hoses. The markings on those hoses are the same a my Miflex hoses except they have a date of 2002. Mine are dated 2009.
