Rich,
What kind of wing is that?
Thanks
I'm betting a Dive Rite travel wing.

Oh and that pic Akimbo posted is almost as low as what I see some people strapping their tanks![]()

Having been on only 1 live aboard my experience may not be normal, however, if you leave your gear set up, it is a good idea to check the bands for being tight. After a couple of days they can become loose and need a quick tug to make sure they are tight. I saw 2 people have problems with this, it made me check mine daily.
If your only issue with your current BC is the security of the tank strap, you might try and get your hands on a ScubaPro camstrap, the supercinch style with the big flat metal lever….
If your only issue with your current BC is the security of the tank strap, you might try and get your hands on a ScubaPro camstrap, the supercinch style with the big flat metal lever. Lots of SP BCs have only one of these straps but they are very secure when done up correctly. My husband has a jacket he likes but the single strap on it was not reliable enough - swapped in an old SP strap we had around and problem solved. If it's a 'soft' BC this may not work but I think these will often have 2 straps. But if you only have one strap now you probably have some kind of hard plastic plate or support in there so this may work well.
(For a long time I had a jacket with 2 straps and the lower strap often interfered with tank holders on boats. One advantage I found with a single strap, it's not usually positioned to be in the way. My next BC I went back to one. Grass is always greener...![]()
