A Zeagle Stiletto might be an option for you. It is a back inflate.

All of the Zeagle line has 2 cam bands except fot the Covert which sort of has 2. Some of their BC's, Ranger, 911, SAR are huge and weigh a ton but are good BC's. The Express Tech, Covert and Stilleto are fairly light and pack down well.

Rich,

What kind of wing is that?

Thanks

Yes, that indeed happened to me last year. While on holidays, I left my gear in the dive shop for them to set up for me, and they'd loosened the cam band to make it easier to put the tank on. My own fault for not rechecking it before doing a back-roll off the boat and having my tank slide out. I know nothing makes up for checking your own gear before getting in the water, but it's prompting me to go for a dual strap system on my new bcd anyway.

If you roll off without making sure your one cam band is secured, whats gonna stop you from doing the same only that your two cam bands isn't?

Oh and that pic Akimbo posted is almost as low as what I see some people strapping their tanks :p

Having been on only 1 live aboard my experience may not be normal, however, if you leave your gear set up, it is a good idea to check the bands for being tight. After a couple of days they can become loose and need a quick tug to make sure they are tight. I saw 2 people have problems with this, it made me check mine daily.

Look at the zeagle express tech bp/w. I bought one for travel purposes and while diving it to get used to it, I decided that I kind of like it more than my stainless steel backplate. It's great for travel because it's very light and can lay just about flat. I upgraded mine to a 30lb wing and used 2 single pieces of webbing rather than the harness they want to sell it with and threw some d-rings on it and it works great. Was about $275 total I believe but you will need a weight belt.

Both of the lady Zeagle's have two tank straps. The Zena is more minimal in front and there's one pocket on the right. I believe it's an expandable mesh pocket also. Comes with the Ripcord weight system. http://www.zeagleexpress.com/gear/BCDS/Zeagle BCDs/Zena BCD.html

The Lazer is the women's version of the Stiletto. It's sold as a travel bc but is a little heavier than some. Has two pockets plus the Ripcord weight system. Either weighs 6.9lbs. The Lazer is actually .6 lbs lighter than the Stiletto it's modeled on. http://www.zeagleexpress.com/gear/BCDS/Zeagle BCDs/LaZer BCD.html

The Express Tech won't have pockets. If you see some that look like they do, that's either the Ripcord or the Zip-Touch weight system. Which you can add as an option instead of needing a weight belt. Sold as the Deluxe it weighs 6.5 lbs. So not a lot of travel weight difference vs. either of the ^ ladies models that are more full featured. I don't know what you'd save if you strip the pads off it. With no weight system or pads Scubatoys lists it at under 5lbs. http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?product_id=ZeagleExpressTechBCD

An option might be a ScubaPro Go. It's a Travel Jacket bc with big pockets. It only weighs 4.19lbs. in XS. And two straps but I believe only one cams down - the other looks like velcro. Click the 2nd 3D button here to see the back. SCUBAPRO - GO

Maybe look at Leisurepro.com for some ideas. They list 22 women's BC's and 56 Travel BC's. You can fine tune the search parameters and they also ship worldwide. http://www.leisurepro.com/c-964/buoyancy-compensators They're not an Aqualung dealer so their prices reflect that. Any warranty would be thru them for that brand. They are licensed dealers for most of what they sell.
