Been several times. Have always stayed at the Key West Inn in Key Largo. They are nice with a bedroom up stairs and a kitchen with a screen balcony over looking the canal. For diving you can not go wrong with Silent World, no cattle boats. A word of warning, the winter months the seas are rougher then in the summer. And try and plan a trip down to Key West both for the fun of it is Key West and get a dive in on the Vandenberg.

Thanks for the info! I will check out the links for sure. Already did KW this year - 5 splashes on the Vandy including a night dive - AWESOME!!!

We've always saved a chunk of change booking our hotel on priceline. The entertainment.com coupon book for the Keys has three or four buy one get one free coupons for dive trips. That saves a bunch as well.

We have used most of the dive ops in KL and been happy with them all. Rainbow Reef has a good value and no extra charge for a dive guide. Ocean Divers has always been real good to us also.l

I'm with Party Star. The Hilton was a great place to stay on Key Largo. The food at the hotel is good too. The pool area has a waterfall, an adult only section separated by the waterfall, and a beach bar for snacks and beverages. Also a great place for lunch is Mrs. Mac's on route 1. I dove with Quinesential and would give them a thumbs up. They have smaller boats with a limit of 6 divers. Definately not a cattle boat as with some of the bigger operations on Largo.

I have been going down over Christmas for several years. I always dive with Conch Republic Divers out of Tavernier Creek. I always go on to VRBO.com and find a rental for the week. Its a great week. I like to rent a condo for the week in Kawama Yacht club. You can get a 2 bedroom condo for 1000-1400 for the week.
