I have found that flying to CUR and then BON is awful. I, too, have sat in CUR for 10 hours waiting for an Insel flight to BON. I strongly suggest flying direct to BON... regardless of price. Just my two cents.

Anyone have experience flying AA to Mia and then Insel to Bon via Cur? Was looking at flights separately AA to MIA and then Insel to Bon but can't seem to get Orbits or TA search engines to come up with the flights together. I was wondering if the flights can be booked together and whether you can check bags thru from your starting AA destination (in my case NYC) to Bon or whether we will have to lug bags thru MIA and check thru again in MIA and CUR. Also what have peoples experience been, especially with Insel? The EWR Continental red eye is getting too expensive and the travel times a burden. Although longer flying times and stops, the AA Insel has better BON arrival and departure times.

did the AA thing Miami Curacao Bonaire last year. Not doing it again. Flying friday on the United Red Eye. cheap is what cheap is to misquote forrest gump. might do it again but not willingly. Insel lost part of our luggage on a ten minute flight. that's okay but their attitude about it is very Caribbean, which for this yankee takes a bit of getting use to. If you can "go with flow" might work for you but its only a two week vacation for us.
Its also more involved since we leave from Boston.
Also you must get your bags and go through Customs in Curacao, bags were checked to then from our start at Logan.

Thanks Chauncy19. For us it not just the price but the flight times as well. We have done the Red Eye three times and it is getting old. I wonder if we take the Insel nonstop from MIA to Bon we might avoid or minimize lost luggage issues by skipping a stop in CUR. Enjoy your trip! Two weeks at a clip. Someday.

The best flight is the Saturday Delta flight out of Atlanta. The trick is to get a decent price.

My wife does not do the redeye so we do AA to Curacao and then the Divi Divi to Bonaire.
I have no complaints about the Divi Divi and have used them for three trips....
You will not find them on Orbitz - Expedia etc and they do not have tie ins with other airlines.
