Check out the Salt Pier panorama and scroll right, he caught an Eagle Ray going by.

I saw 2 more eagle rays on another and was surprised when I looked up on one and saw a turtle.

Those are some pretty colors. I heard there's some looonngg legged beauties on the Island to.

Yes there are! Flamingoes also call Bonaire there home. We usually see them in their stoic one legged poses or elegantly dipping their heads into the water to feed. I found this great video from some fellow travelers who caught them in majestic flight! Enjoy!

I think they like to feed on brine shrimp, and that is how the get to be pink. (Or I may have misunderstood)

Did you know Bonaire is 24 miles long by 3-7 miles wide (112 square miles), has NO traffic lights!

I'd feel right at home there... "my" Island (Catalina) is 21 by 7 1/2 miles (76 sq miles) and also has no traffic lights! But I thought the reason people went to Bonaire was to dive so who needs anything else to "do?" Tee hee.

It's worth mentioning that the capital city has some intersections that, if they were in the U.S., would have traffic lights or stop signs. Instead, they are circular, and people can enter without stopping if they're empty, or stop and wait if need be. My point is, while Bonaire is 'rustic' by modern civilization standards, the capital isn't that tiny.
