Winter diving is definitely here! Splashed at about 3:45pm with a predicted high tide of 4:18pm. High tide looked to be more at 3. Visibility was about 15 at best dropping down to 8 later in the dive with increasing current, 58 degrees at depth with a 53 degree air temperature. This would have been tolerable if there had been no wind :-/. However, my buddy and I still got wet. I'm surprised the wrasse and juvenile snapper still hanging around can stand the pacific like temperatures. Off gassed at peg leg Pete's with some nice mahi and gumbo and of course the brew ;-). I need more wet suit for anything colder than 60. Today I had a Henderson 5ml two piece with a 3/2 hooded vest and skin on and got cold. May be time to upgrade to a 7ml full suit and 5/3 hooded vest. Happy diving.
. Oh! bought powerball tickets on the way back to mobile, here is to winning!
