Lake Jocassee update

Dove off the ramps today. Surface temp was 61, bottom temp was 51 at 115'. Vis was 15' in the forest. The water is way down, the shallow platform is only at 7'.

Anyone who hasn't been since the new ramps were installed be very careful, where the new concrete ends it simply drops off about 18".

I was @ the ramp yesterday. Water is even a little lower, but the rocks @ the end of the right ramp (facing the lake) are walkable enough to stand on to put on fins. Or, you can just sit on the end of the ramp.

Man that is a bad start of the year. warmer temps are here and the summer heat and little rain . NOT A GOOD START!! The last time I was there (couple month ago)they were pumping water back in to the lake

Does any one have the currant water temps and lake levels ? I will be at the ramp w/ my dive buddy Tony In the morning (Sunday)to try and get 3 dives in .

So how was it? Planning on heading up there on Wednesday.

Was a great day we did 3 dives. The surface temp was 74*. and at our max depth (103')it was 52*. At 72' it was 54*. At 30' it was 61*
The viz above 30 fot was not real good maybe 15' below that it got to around 25' to 30'. down at 103 around the forest it opend up more you could see as far as your light beam could shine. the 1st ramp is around 10'
