Dan, I'd love to come dive the BHB, whether it was for an article or not -- and on my good days, I can be rather motionless. But I've got problems at home that preclude traveling right now.

I would love to help promote sidemount for divers that don't wish to carry that kind of weight that is backmount. My budget is rather tied up in April, though.
jax wouldn't it be easier to put the mask around the tank, ya no next to the Iphone, the flares, and the save a dive kit, of course it would be another strap to hold the snorkel better on the other side of the tank. remember when sidemount diving to utilize the tank to carry all the extra gear. And Ill give this secret away also a mess kit fits nicely on the bottom of the tank and you hardly notice it's there.
But what did you look like when you were reaching for your mask???I looked like a spastic aardvark trying to scratch behind its ear.
Jax, TS&M,
While I really want you guys to be in one of my BHB articles, if this is a bad time, how about having someone shoot a fun SM video of you showing "some issue" that you think is really cool, or really important. Each clip I string together in a video compilation, should have some kind of fun factoid or useful proceedure, ideally in a cool back drop....but it could be in a pool if it had to be, especially considering that most of the clips will be showing the issues at the BHB...i.e...you could have a few that just concentrate on a specific issue.
I know people are going to experiment with Sidemount. Even though my mindset is DIR and GUE, I have always wanted to help facilitate getting good knowledge out there.... In a real sense, YOU GUYS are helping to build the beginnings of a DIR approach to Sidemount. I think this body of knowledge needs to grow and then be trimmed for best content....and it needs to stay fun and nice, unlike the early DIR days..there is NO Axe to grind here..Only a desire divers have to enjoy a new gear system in the best way possible.
:spit:
Actually, it had more to do with elbowing the tank out of the way, and getting the proper grasp on the pocket top . . . Too much velcro, awkward position, deco tank, grabbing the pocket instead of the flap. I looked like a spastic aardvark trying to scratch behind its ear.
