Hey all, I need some help picking out a new wet suit.

I've been a diver for about 15 years but am a novice when it comes to selecting equipment. I'm looking for a 7mm full suit. I'd like to hear some opinions on which brands I should avoid...which brands everybody likes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

=)

I have wetsuits from NeoSports, Sea Elite (from Divers Supply) and TommyDSports. They were all inexpensive, they are all comfortable and I like them each for different reasons. I will say that the TommyDSports wetsuit I have is pretty rugged and well made. I've been pretty rough on it and it has held up well.

Henderson works for me. Have multiple for different conditions

Get the brand that fits you properly. Other than that the only real difference between brands with similar features is price because of the name. These days there are so many good wetsuit manufacturers out there that it's difficult to find truly poor quality suits. I have NeoSport, Aqualung, Billabong, Henderson, Oneil and a couple of others both name brand and "no name". They're all perfectly acceptable, as are many many more.

THE wetsuit to have and is not really any more expensive than many others is, Waterproof.

The very very best, quality, features and fit.

I just got my new Wetwear custom suit and though I have 3 and 5 mil Pinnacle Merino Elastiprenes and a Bare Velocity based on what I received from Connie at Wetwear I don't ever see buying another brand as long as they are around. It was not cheap even with the DEMA price I received at the show, but damn! This is one fine suit. Made from rubatex and fitted with arm and leg zippers you truly do feel like a superhero putting it on. I wish I would have had my logo embroidered on a patch and sent to them to put on the chest. If you go to their site look at the wetsuits for cave and wreck divers. You may not want to spend that kind of money on a suit for just recreational diving. But I plan on putting about 100 dives on this suit this season alone so I need something that will hold up to that kind of use.

[/h]Ok, so I'm trying to compare a couple of suits. Any major differences between these two suits? I was hoping to pay less than $350 for my suit, and these two options are quite a bit more expensive. In your opintions, is the benefit of buing one of these two 'premium' suits worth the cost...at 50% more?

I see that 'semi-dry' is an option. Might this be a good option for me? I'm going to be diving in ~55-65 F water for at least an hour or more. Is the semi-dry option worth it?[h=1]Camaro Stingray 7mm Mens Semi Dry Front Zipper Suit[/h]

wetwear.com? I'm having trouble viewing the site. Its asking for password. Something's not right here... Maybe it'll be working tomorrow...

I'd love to have a suit with my logo. That would be awesome.

For the temperature range and dive duration you posted, you may be more comfortable in a drysuit.
