Anyone notice the excitement at the Blue Angel?

By the way, I stayed at Blue Angel this past summer and found the entire operation to be top notch.

I never thought about going out to dinner there, but some suggested it and now it is on our places to try. Maybe we can put together a SB GetTogether there? The missus went to a Humane Society thing there last year.

Stats just came out today for my home town in Canada - 5th most dangerous city in Canada! Yet somehow I still exist, shop, and roam the streets. ;^)

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, they execute gang bangers everyday in the neighborhood I grew up in, but I still go visit people I know that live there and never feel threatened. I guess it's all up to you, some people are afraid of leaving doors unlocked, some aren't.

In one Texas town: No, That Cop Does Not Want To Give You A Ticket--Just A Holiday Gift

I think on some level there is a tendency within any police department for some officers to bend the rules that they are supposed to abide by. For example I work nights and have had my hours adusted several times over the the last dozen years and in all that time I have never been pulled over in my community until they altered my hours so that I was driving home just after the bars closed and while I was working that shift I was pulled over 4 times in 3 months! with the only reason for doing so was that I was on the road during those hours. They would ask me where I was coming from and where I was going. Then they would run my plate come back and tell me I had been weaving or some other BS, then tell me to have a nice night and I was free to go on my way. Now I know they were essentially dong a rolling sobriety checkpoint (which is illegal in Minnesota) but all they have to do to cover their tracks is make up an excuse for pulling you over. Frankly it is only in principal that it bothers me, and it was not that big of inconveniece to me but that dont make it right.

Well Gaff, maybe you should call the Chief and see if there is video. Just to make sure you drive as good as you think you do in the wee hours. I have heard that the drunks say the same thing, "I never crossed the lines" etc etc. I have a friend that says he never crosses the line either but I have followed him. I swear the state could save thousands on line paint if he stayed off the fog line. Sober, mind you.
