Does anybody know how I can get ahold of a Mares rep? There's nothing on the website. I have a V32 1st stage and a Proton Ice 2nd (not the ice extreme). I recently had it serviced at Lauderdale Diver after not having used it for a couple of years. I go there because I bought my other Oceanic reg there. They replaced o rings, filter, etc and certified the V32 good to go, $120 later. On first use breathing was extremely laborious.

I immediately took it to to Diver's Discount in Ft. Lauderdale, who I learned was a Mares authorized dealer. The owner told me the problem I experienced was because I had not taken it to an authorized Mares dealer for servicing. A Mares dealer, he informed me, would have applied the recall kit (that I didn't know about) and used Mares specialized factory parts which are unknown to anyone outside of Mares circles. Problem is, I would have to have my reg re-serviced for an additional fee. I'd like to get ahold of a Mares rep to verify what I am hearing, and see if in fact I have to pay for recall servicing now. Anyone know how to get in touch with a Mares rep?

Thanks,

Jason

Thanks Searcaigh, but have you ever looked at their website? I haven't been able to find ANY contact information. That's why I posted here.

I'd say send an email to mares as well, except that i've tried and last time I looked, they didn't have any sort of contact info on their website. I'd say the best way to get a hold of someone at mares is through facebook. Just type mares in the search box, and post your question on their wall. It took a few days for a response, but I did get one.

Thanks Nuke, I'll do that.

There is a Mares forum here on Scubaboard, Mares reps do read the forum, so I'd try re-posting your question there.
