What aspect of the story has been sensationalized?

:shocked2: Holy crap! Several people I know have seen bulls in there, but this is the first aggressive behavior I've heard of. All due respect to the vic, but wouldn't it be cool if the entire site was off limits to swimmers? IJS.

BTW..can't imagine a 12 ft bull's bite would leave the victim conscience. More likely the animal brushed against the guy's leg and moved on.

Reminds me of the story about the monkey and the cue ball. :D That bristleworm might have bitten off more than he can. . . whatever bristlwworms try to do with what they've wrapped their lips around. Looks like it might be a bit too large to be a standard macadamia nut. Are you sure you didn't jam a golf ball's inards into his mouth??

Gotta agree with Splitlip...12 foot bull would not leave much leg if it were much more then a brush.
I'll be interested to hear what provoked the attack.
Also hope the vic is going to be ok...and the shark.

I would love to see a bull shark at the bridge! The biggest thing I saw today was the ray. I quickly turned on my Flip and pointed in his direction. Realized after he faded into the distance I forgot to hit the "record" button. So that didn't work out so well.

But a fabulous 2+ hour dive! I didn't tell anyone I was going - just threw my gear in the trunk this morning in hopes I might be able to sneak out of work early enough for the afternoon high tide. Water temp: 79. Viz: crap. Really - anything past 10-15 ft was a blur. I wore my 3mm and got cold around hour #1. But no way was I ending the dive! In spite of the cold it just felt so good to be almost nekkid compared to my 5mm full plus 3mm vest.

Lots of eels - in fact I thought I saw a snake eel but when I got home and on the computer it was just a baby spotted moray. I found a little octopus who was willing to show off more costume changes than a Barbie doll. I spent another 1000 psi with him. I will post a little video tomorrow.

Nice to see a couple regulars again in the parking lot and meet a new troll. (I think with 17 dives already you are well on your way, Mike!)

Here are a few pics from today:

On TV news last night, they interviewed 2 friends of the victim, who said they had been spearfishing......No mullets were in sight, no dumpsters either, and it appeared the ocean background footage was indicating somewhere off of palm beqach or singer island--so either 20 foot or 60 foot reefs..., as to "WHERE" THIS OCCURRED....Phil Foster park is where the ambulance would have picked up the diver,...The News really is reported pathetically.
